Why This Matters
A missed classroom repair is a missed school year
Municipal Corporation schools in Vijayawada serve children from low-income and migrant households, where average attendance and academic performance sit around 60%. Incomplete classrooms, unsafe sanitation and under-resourced libraries make it harder for students to stay engaged โ long before exam results reveal the gap.
The Challenge
Gaps Schools Can't Fix Alone: Six municipal schools studied by Sujana Foundation and SEEDS Impact show incomplete classrooms, inadequate toilets, weak libraries and little early-years support โ gaps that compound for children who have the least room to fall behind.
Our response
A Holistic School Model : Sujana Foundation pairs civil infrastructure and sanitation upgrades with libraries, life-skills training and early-learning support โ delivered together, school by school, with government and CSR partners.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to what donors and partners most often ask about our education programmes.
How are schools selected for infrastructure upgrades?
Schools are chosen through a joint needs assessment with SEEDS Impact, based on enrolment, infrastructure gaps and government referral, then prioritised by severity.
Does the Foundation train teachers, or only students?
Both. Programmes like Navachetana train teachers as trainers, so life-skills and awareness content continues in classrooms after our team moves on.
